is that bad, my wrist DOES hurt from installing a door

also, today a fisher was saying how productive he was, hard at work fishing for like 4 or 5 hours EVERY day

I said I don’t have the energy to do that, is that bad?

Bad? No. Sad? Yes, very!

You should seriously consider using some wrist braces while your "injury" heals. Once you have full mobility back, try doing daily wrist strengthening exercises. This should allow you to get back to 4-5 hours of daily gaming in no time- maybe more! And you can’t tell me fishing is harder on the wrist that playing video games- so tell the fisherman to man up!!

If, however, the wrist is just an excuse, and you are just too lazy to play. You may want to consider getting a helper monkey- this will allow you to do most things from your recliner (assuming that is where you are). Possibly he/she could also be trained to change channels and type for you.

Good luck!!

wat kinds of knots do you use for-
drop shot
crankbaits
spinner baits
inline spinners
hooks
sinkers

For crankbaits and inline spinners I use a loop knot this particular one is called a rapala knot http://www.animatedknots.com/rapala/index.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com

For the others you mentioned I use this http://www.marinews.com/Locked-Half-Blood-Knot-334.php

The purpose of a loop knot is so the knot is not restricting the action of the bait. On certain lures you don’t want the knot to move around so you use the second one

I am new to saltwater fishing, I need some help. I have some crab traps and caught a blue crab the other day, but I want to start really getting into it. What can you tell me?

When to fish, how the tides work, what baits to use, where to fish, rigs to use, etc. I am in Charleston SC and want to go out again tomorrow morning.

Thanks

Im no expert on saltwater myself, i live maybe three hours from Charleston, but have never been.I usually like to fish the rising tide, from low to high, this brings alot of baitfish in. And where there are baitfish, there are bigger ones trying to eat them. The best way to learn is to find a good bait shop, there are guys who love to run their mouth in bait shops.Usually the owner will give you advice, and spill the beans on the hot spots. If you have any local piers, give them a call and see whats biting. They will have everything you need right there for whatever is biting. Im just not sure what runs anymore at what times, i mostly freshwater fish. But a day on the pier can be productive and there alot of people there who know what they are doing, and most love to share their wealth of knowledge. As far as the crabs go, they will eat about anything. I know when we used to live near Wilmington, N.C. we would just tie a raw chicken leg or neck to nylon twine, maybe a little weight, and throw it out in the water, periodically slowly dragging it in so not to lose the crab. You may want to check and see if that is legal down here…..some laws are different here than back home. Im sure if its legal, you can catch some nice blue crab with a little raw chicken in the traps. Be sure and leave the skin on and you can usuallly find some cheap thats about to go out of date. Dont worry, crabs dont care about freshness, lol.

Check out our Advanced twisted Paternoster fishing rig, Bit more practice for this one, but if you’ve got the time and tying knots for yourself, well worth a try. You won’t see this one elsewhere, or not very common but a great knot with extra abrasion resistance and strength with the Twisted loop, thanks to our Decky. The Stiffer loop also keeps the Hooks well clear of the main line and less tangles. Tie this Paternoster rig as demonstrated and use as per our normal rig with one or two hooks. Once again they’re are quite a few ways to tie the Paternoster, so feel free to give this one a go. An awesome Fishing Knot and Good luck fishing!! Well worth using when dropping baits and fishing in deep water, with us using in that 50 metre range or deep reef edges.
Please subscribe for more great fishing action and tips.

About 10 years ago my dad used to have this board game that my brothers used to play all the time. You would hunt game and fish. It wasn’t a trivia game, and there were cards and dice involved, I believe. I can’t, for the life of me find out what the game was! I am hoping there is someone with a clue as to what this game was and help me find one. I have been searching for quite a while on the internet and I keep on coming up with trivia games or video games, neither of which interest me.

I don’t have a good answer for you on this one from the information you have provided — At first, I thought it might be American Megafauna — but it turns out that game is about evolution of large species… not about hunting. The community at BoardGameGeek.com probably can help you out on your information quest. I may be a bit biased because I serve as an administrator for the site, but it’s a large community of board game enthusiasts who have a plethora of information on all varieties of games (and I know several who pride themselves on the ability to identify a game quickly from a short description.

It was apparently Woods & Water — http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/10326
