If your line snaps you need to consider various factors such as..

condition of line
knots
clutch/drag on reel
is the rod too stiff for the line?

If you use decent line and balance your tackle you should be fine mate

Carp fishing is fun, here in california, our carp get massive.

You wouldnt expect to pull up a 30 pounder from a tiny little pond. The real fun is trying different baits.

I caught my first carp about 4 days ago… The thing that sucked was that it got hooked up 10 minutes before i noticed it and started reeling…. it was about 13lb and faught like a log… fawkin dissappoitment! (i was adventuring around the pond for bass)

Carp, eel, trout, and largemouth bass are the best tasting fish here in NJ… you just need to know how to cook it. The first fish i actually enjoyed eating was carp, ever since then i’ve been hooked on fish/seafood.
